New Year's Travels

Each year Rick and I go to one or more personal growth workshops as participants because we want to keep growing ourselves. Just a few weeks ago we traveled to beautiful Sedona, AZ, for a workshop. In the past we've taken a few groups to Sedona to experience the energy vortexes and the incredible beauty of the area. This time we stayed at Sky Ranch Lodge on airport mesa, just above the Airport Vortex. The energy of the Airport Vortex is considered balanced (both masculine and feminine.) Other vortexes in Sedona include: Bell Rock (masculine), Cathedral Rock (feminine) and Boynton Canyon (also a balanced vortex.) The view was spectacular from our lodge. In fact, every evening just before sunset there were numerous photographers at the look-out site hoping to get that perfect sunset photo. On New Year's day we went to the Chapel of the Holy Cross, a spectacular chapel built in the rocks, designed by a student of famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The energy in this chapel feels very expansive and you feel a powerful connection with Spirit in it. I always experience amazing insights when I am in the energy there. Then off to Bell Rock for a short hike, followed by a delicious breakfast. A wonderful day to begin 2008!
